Useful information

How does the system work?

The system is based on the principle of transporting the location provided by the GPS global positioning system from the mobile unit into the dispatching center. The communication is ensured by the GSM network using the SMS/DATA/GPRS services. The vehicle can be monitored anytime according to the wishes of the provider using the GPRS/ SMS services. All telematic functions are included in the standard equipment the creation of the Driver's report book. The unit enables to send telematic information from the vehicle, e.g. the temperature of the transport area, data from flowmeter or float, detection of open doors, etc.

What about the energy consumption?

While idling, the mobile unit may switch into the energy-saving (i.e. the sleep) mode. The power draw of the unit is extremely low (< 1 mA) according to the guarding type and in the standby mode. The unit does not discharge the car battery even during long periods of standstill.
The unit may be equipped with the reserve car battery to maintain its function when the car battery is disconnected. In this case the disconnection of the car battery activates the alarm state of the unit and sending of alarm SMSes.

Security

It is also possible to connect it to the car alarm - in case the vehicle is attacked, the unit transmits alarm messages. Similar messages may be sent when the driver doesn't log-in with the Dallas chip.

What is the Dallas chip?

A Dallas chip may be connected as other accessories, or as the RFID reader which serves for the identification of the vehicle's user. Horn acoustically signaling the use of the Dallas chip, private/business ride switch, barcode reader, flowmeter for monitoring the fuel, digital float or current float, temperature scanners, detectors of open doors and other equipment

Statistics

Statistics options (comparison of vehicles or drivers within a time period):

  • Distance travelled, car speed,
  • Fuel consumption, motor revs, moto-clock (connection to the current float of the vehicle),
  • Comparison of values gained from the external readers,
  • Possibility of checking the breaks, private rides, fuelling, and other costs,
  • Possibility of sorting the vehicles into groups, centers, etc. including the evaluation of arbitrary statistics,
  • Entering the so-called reach points (loading, unloading, etc.) - information may be sent via a text message to a mobile phone,
  • Possibility of importing the data from the electronic statements of all cards for fuel and exporting the data to other economic programs or as a copy for the accounting purposes.
